Admission to Masters in Computer Application in Madurai Kamraj University is carried out on the basis of entrance exam conducted by the University. Graduation in any stream with a minimum of 55 % of marks in aggregate is the basic educational qualification required for this course. Final decision on selection is done on the basis of composite scores obtained in entrance exam, group discussion and personal interview.

Eligibility Criterion

Candidates having graduation in any stream with a minimum of 55 % of marks from a recognized University can seek admission for Masters in Computer Applications in this University. They should have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject in higher secondary examination. Apart from this, candidates who have passed graduation with Computer Science or Computer Application as Main or Vocational subjects can apply for this course. Final year candidates are also eligible to apply for this course. Such candidates are required to complete their course at the time of admission.

Admission Procedure for MCA in Madurai Kamraj University

Admission to the course is carried out on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in entrance exam conducted by the University. Candidates who have cleared the entrance exam will be short listed for Group Discussion. Those who have performed well in Group Discussion will be called for final interview for selection process.

MCA Entrance Exam Pattern

The entrance exam comprises of multiple choice questions. There will be a total of 100 questions. Of these, 30 questions will be asked from Mathematics of plus two level, 30 questions from logical reasoning, 30 questions from introductory knowledge of computers. Remaining questions will be asked to check candidates’ proficiency in English. Candidates can expect degree level questions in this section. Maximum time allotted for this exam is 100 minutes.

Application Procedure for MCA in Madurai Kamraj University

Candidates seeking admission to MCA programme in Madurai Kamraj University are required to apply for the entrance exam in prescribed format. They are required to pay Rs. 600/- as registration fees. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are exempted from fee payment.  Fees can be paid by taking a Demand Draft in favor of Registrar, Madurai Kamraj University, payable at Madurai. Fully filled in application along with Photostat copies of relevant documents and details of fee payment should be sent to “The Registrar Madurai Kamraj University Palkalainagar Madurai 625 021” within stipulated time. Late and applications which are incomplete will be rejected.
