Admission Procedure in Bengal Engineering and Science University

Admission Procedure to Under Graduate Courses

Admission to Under Graduate Programmes is carried out on the basis of scores obtained in state level entrance test known as West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE). The University considers NATA scores for the admission to B.Arch programme. Apart from this, three year diploma holders can seek admission directly to second year through lateral entry. Such candidates will have to clear JELET, conducted by WBJEE.

Admission Procedure to Post Graduate Courses

Admission to M.Tech courses are based on the score obtained in national level entrance exam such as GATE and as well as the performance in the screening interview conducted by the University. Non GATE candidates can also apply for the admission. Such candidates should be sponsored by certain Universities or Institutes.

The University considers national level entrance tests such as CAT/ MAT and JEMAT scores for the admission to MBA Programmes. Apart from this, candidates will have to clear the personal interview conducted by the department concerned. Candidates who seek admission to MCA programmes are required to clear the MCA entrance test conducted by the University. Admission to M. Sc programmes is carried out on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination and admission test conducted by the University. Final selection will be based on the performance in screening interview, conducted by the respective departments.
