Medical College Admission Test is a test conducted for admitting students into the medical schools in America. This test is monitored and controlled by the Association of American medical colleges. Eligible candidates can apply online. All successful candidates will be getting admission in medical colleges across America. But there are no test centers in India.

Structure of MCAT

The test will be for 5.75 hours. The test is divided into four sections. First two sections will be conducted in the morning and the later two sections after the lunch interval. From physical science and biological science there will be 52 questions which should be completed in 70 minutes. From verbal reasoning there will be stions which should be completed in 60 minutes. Writing sample will be having two questions to be completed in one hour.

Eligibility Criteria

All students can apply for this exam if they have passed +2 with good marks. Students applying should have studied biology, physics and chemistry in the 12 th standard. Otherwise they are not eligible for applying. Students who are presently studying in any medical colleges are also eligible. But for these students they need to get special permission from the concerned authority.

How to Apply?

Candidates can only apply through the online mode. First of all the candidates must register in the website of MCAT. There candidate must enter all the relevant information needed or asked to him. Candidate should register in the website as soon as possible. This is because there are only limited seats available and those candidates applying first will be given priority. How to fill the Form?

As candidates need to submit the form online, they should fill the same within the time limit. Enter all the details without any error. All the given information must be correct otherwise they will not be allowed to write this entrance exam. Keep the exam center which is near your area and the candidates should not forget to enter the area code. If it is not written the form will be rejected. So they need to fill all details carefully.

Important Dates (Tentative)

This exam will be conducted for a 25 day period. The exam will start from January 2012 third week and will end in September 2012 first week. Candidate should register for this exam before the third week of January 2012.
