B.Sc graduation in subjects like Mathematics or Applied Science is necessary to apply for M.Sc (Applied Science) in Anna University. The selection process for this course includes an entrance examination comprising of objective model questions. A merit list will be prepared for candidates who cleared the written test. Based on the merit list, candidates are asked to attend the counseling process, which forms the final selection process.


Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc (Applied Mathematics) in Anna University

Graduation is essential to apply for M.Sc (Applied Mathematics) course. Degree level qualification must be obtained in subjects like Mathematics or Applied Science from any of the recognized institutes. Those candidates who are currently doing third year B.Sc course are also eligible to apply for the same, provided they are able to complete the course before the commencement of M.Sc program.  

Selection Procedure for M.Sc (Applied Mathematics) course in Anna University

The selection procedure for M.Sc (Applied Mathematics) course will consist of an entrance examination organized by Anna University. There will be 100 objective model questions for the entrance test carrying 100 marks. The time limit allowed for candidates to complete this entrance examination is 3 hours.

It is essential for candidates to clear the entrance examination by scoring a good percentage of marks. On the basis of entrance exam score, a merit list will be prepared by Anna University. Candidates whose names appear in the merit lists need to attend counseling process organized by the University.  It is compulsory to submit original educational documents at the time of counseling along with an initial deposit of Rs 5000/- in the form of Demand Draft (DD).
