Nagpur University M.Tech in Chemical Engineering Entrance Exam 2012
The Nagpur University was started on 4th August 1923. It was begun with 6 affiliated colleges and 927 students. The university provides courses at Diploma, Post Graduate, Graduate, and Doctoral levels in different streams. It conducts entrance exam for admitting eligible candidates to several courses including M.Tech.
Structure of Nagpur University M.Tech Entrance Exam
Nagpur University selects eligible candidates for M.Tech through written test followed by interview or viva-voce. The written test is divided as Paper I and Paper II. The duration for each paper is 45 minutes. The total marks for the written test is 70 and that for the interview is 30.
Syllabus of Nagpur University M.Tech in Chemical Engineering Entrance Exam
The syllabus for Paper I will be the general under-graduate syllabus for B.Tech in Chemical Engineering. This includes 20% each Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, and Chemical Technology, 10% each Mathematics, Computer Applications, Physics, and General Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria
The basic qualification required is graduation in respective branch from a recognized university. Those who have valid score in GATE will be admitted to the course in the FIRST ROUND itself. The non-GATE students who all qualified in the entrance exam will get admission in the SECOND ROUND only. For getting admission to the course, these candidates should score at least 40 marks out of 100.
How to Apply?
The details regarding the admission process will be published in the official website of Nagpur University. The application forms will be available on the official website www.dte.org.in. The candidates can also collect the forms from the leading newspapers. The completed application form has to send to the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) in Maharashtra. The selected candidates have to pay the tuition and other fees as prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education/Government of Maharashtra/ Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University.
How to fill the Form?
First of all, go through the instructions thoroughly. Then only start filling the application without making any mistakes. After filling the form completely, send the DD and the form to the respective address. The applicant should ensure that the filled form will reach the destination before the last date. Before posting, note down the name of the candidate on the back of DD and also take a photo copy of the completed form. Keep the copy and DD for future reference.
