The NET Public Administration Paper III is a 200 mark paper comprising of total time duration of two and half hour. The paper is divided into four sections. Section A has a small passage followed by a set of questions. The student is supposed to read the passage and answer. Section 2 has short notes or short answer questions worth 5 marks. The word count is not more than 30 words.

Section 3 comprises of five questions to be answered from an elective. The last and fourth section has a big essay type question which has to be answered in 1000 words. It carries around 40 marks. There is no fixed syllabus for NET. You can go through previous years’ papers to find out the important topics and get a brief idea of the general paper.

Each section carries a different weight age of marks. The questions have to be answered in the space given in the booklet itself. You can also cite good examples or statistics in order to make your answer more interesting. However, it is always advisable to be precise in your writing so as to avoid long boring answers for which you may not get the desired marks.
