Educational qualification required for finding accountant job in government organizations:

Most of the government organizations require that candidates must be graduates in the field of commerce to apply for the position of Accountant. However, some organizations recruit only candidates who have completed their intermediate examination in CA/ICWA for the position of accountant. Nowadays, most of the organizations require that candidates must have knowledge of computer based accountancy.

Age requirement:

To apply for the position of accountant in Government organizations the minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 40 years, which this might also be 35 years in some organizations.

Selection procedure:

In most of the cases, interview is followed as the selection procedure for appointment of candidates to the position of accountant. However, if the number of candidates applying for the position is higher, public sector organizations might conduct written test as the initial selection process and candidates succeeding in the written test alone will be called for interview.
