The salary will vary from organisation to organisation. It is also depend on which institute you pursued the course. If you have pursued the course from reputed institutes like IIT then the salary can be as high as 10 lakhs. If you not pursued the course from reputed institutes then you can expect it to be around 3 lakhs. It is important that you have a sound conceptual knowledge.

minimum salary depends on many factors-
1) college in which u are studying (5 iits > bits pilani > nits > other colleges) 2) ur performance and projects u undertook during course of four years 3) how well u do in ur interview min - 3 lakhs /annum |

There are many companies which recruit Chemical Engineers.The salary varies from company to company.For jobs like Engineer Officers in Oil companies and Pharmaceutical companies you can expect an higher salary.For posts like Assistant Chemists,Chemists the salary is slightly less compared to Engineer officer's.
Oil sector companies like Oil India Limited,GAIL India Limited,Indraprastha Gas Limited,Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited,Indian Oil Corporation Limited,HPCL recruit Chemical Engineers for posts of Engineer's. Even Pharmaceutical companies like Dabur,Ranbaxy,Hindustan Lever,Dr Reddy's Labs recruit Chemical Engineer's. You can expect the starting salary to be around Rs 20,000-30,000 but soon when you gain experience the salary keeps increasing but that depends upon your talent and the seriousness you show towards your post. |

work area varies from petroleum and petrochemicals to food, materials, specialty chemicals, plastics, power production, environmental control, waste management and biotechnology.
you can work in ONGC INDIANOIL Candidates with an additional management degree are sought by private industries. In process industries they could work in positions such as a supervisor or manager, technical specialist, project manager or project engineers. so don't worry about salary it is very good . |

in iocl,hpcl,gail,bpcl u get a starting salary of 8 lpa.in 8 months training u get 35000 rs den u start getting the salary said i.e 8lpa.......in chemical engineeing u get a very high salary.......but for it u hv to be conceptually grt.for iocl u need to clear gate n get arank within 100.
