CENTAC JET 2011 B.Tech
Pondichery Centralized Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test (CENTAC JET) is a yearly based entrance examination conducted for admission in to various courses like engineering, medical, dental and law colleges of Pondicherry by Centralized Admission Committee. Admission through JET in B.Tech course is available in Pondicherry Engineering College (PEC) & Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Institute of Engg., & Tech., Karaikal. Students need to secure high marks in this exam in order to get admission in interested course.

All the colleges have well reputed place amongst the famous colleges of the state. They provide experienced and qualified faculty members and they help to give par knowledge to the students. The colleges have top to bottom courses of different streams for the students to pay interest in it. These colleges offer excellent training programs to its students.

Each and every year students from various parts of our country are collecting form to take admission in this reputed university. This exam holds basic and conceptual questions and has limited number of seats for each course. The students are participating in higher number in this exam in order to get chance to be the part of this university.
More about the exam:
There are a total of 450 seats available in Pondicherry Engineering College and 180 seats in Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Institute of Engineeringg & Technology. 85% seats in both colleges are reserved for Pondicherry candidates while rests of the seats are open to all India candidates. There is no entrance test for B.Tech entrance. Admission is based on the marks secured in Mathematics, Physics and any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology.
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate needs to have passed 10+2 level with 45% marks aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology. Candidates can have a maximum of 2 attempts for CENTAC JET.
Availability of Application form:
The forms for CENTAC JET will be available from PEC and selected Head Post Offices in Pondicherry. The form can also be obtained by post from PEC by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.
Important Dates:
• Availability of Application Form: end of the month of April, 2011
• Last date of submitting completed Application Form: third week of June, 2011
