Haryana Public Service Commission was established under the Government of India. Serving the needs of state of Haryana is one of the major aim or objective of the commission. The commission is responsible for making recruitment on various posts in different Government offices present in the state of Haryana. For making recruitment of the subitable candidates, commission conducts the competitive written examination and interview test. The commission is comprises of total three persons which includes one Chairman and 12 other members. Dr. D. P. Vats is the current chairman of the commission.

Job Profile:

Haryana Public Service Commission invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the following faculty positions of Professor, Lecturer and Reader in various Ayurveda subjects. Candidates are required to follow all the eligibility conditions set for the post. Candidates will be recruited in Shri Krishna Government Ayurvedic College, Kurukshetra, Ayush Department, Haryana.

Posts of Professor are available in the subjects of Samhita, Sanskrit and Sidhanta, Prasuti and Striroga, Shalya Tantra, Swasthya Varitta, Panchkarma, Dravya Guna in Class-I cadre.

1. Recruitment of Professor:
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have done Post Graduation degree in the relevant subject recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970. Candidates should also have done degree in the concerned discipline from any recognized university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8700.

Posts of Lecturer are available in the subjects of Pachna Sharir and Swasthya Varitta in Class-II cadre.

2. Recruitment of Lecturer:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have done Post Graduation degree in the relevant subject recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970. Candidates should also have done degree in the concerned discipline from any recognized university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Posts of Reader are available in the subjects of Agad Tantra and Vidhi Ayurved in Class-II cadre.

3. Recruitment of Reader:
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have done Post Graduation degree in the relevant subject recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970. Candidates should also have done degree in the concerned discipline from any recognized university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6400.

Eligibility:

Candidates should have age not less than 21 years and not more than the prescribed maximum age limit i.e. 45 years as on 1 December 2011. Candidates belonging to reserved categories may get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit as per the rules of Government of India.

Application Fee:

General candidates will have to remit an application fee of Rs. 500 only. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Backward Classes/ Ex-Serviceman/ Physically Handicapped categories of Haryana and women candidates of Haryana, will have to submit an application fee of Rs. 125 only. The submission of the application fee must be done through Indian Postal orders or Bank Drafts drawn from any Scheduled Bank of India. The Bank drafts should be drawn in favour of Secretary, Haryana Public Service Commission payable at Panchkula.
