Profile:

National Institute of Malaria Research was established in the year 1977 under the Government of India. Initially, the name of the institute was Malaria Research Centre but later its named was changed to National Institute of Malaria Research in the year 2005. The institute comes under the Indian Council of Medical Research, which is an autonomous body under the Department of Health Research, Minsitry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The major objective of the institute is to find solutions to the problems of malaria through performing various research activities. Also the institute plays an important role in the man power resource development through trainings and workshops.

Job Profile:

Follwoing positions in National Institute of Malaria Research are to be filled purely on contract or temporary basis through the conduct of a Walk-In-Interview. The recuitment is being done for the two important undergoing projects of the institute.

I) The first project is entitled as “DDT residues in human milk, whole blood and adipose tissue form DDT spray areas and areas where DDT not sprayed during 2010-2011″:

1. Recruitment of Project Scientist:
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry or Environmental Science or Life Science with atleast three years of experience in research field.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 40000 per month.

2. Recruitment of Project Fellow:
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry or Environmental Science or Life Science with experience on pesticide analysis and chematography technquies.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 15000 per month.

3. Recruitment of Lab Assistant:
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years.
Educational Qualification: Graduation with Science as main subject and one year experience in laboratory is needed for the post.
