The Mandar Education Society established the Rajaram Shinde College of Engineering, Mumbai in the year 1993, under the affiliation to the University of Mumbai along with its recognition by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and the Government of Maharashtra. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has awarded the College with B+ grade It is an autonomous college aiming to impart latest technological education by providing modern facilities to the students, and help in developing them as proficient technocrats.

Campus

The institute is spread into a large area which is lush green and provides an excellent environment for study. The main building of the college consists of Well equipped laboratories and Workshops. Further ample opportunity for sports is also provided. Internet facility is provided along with a multi Gym. The library is well stocked with a large reading room and containing over 2 lakh volumes of periodicals and books. Hostel facilities are provided to both boys and girls separately with a carrying capacity of over 1000 students. A Canteen is present, providing students with hygienic food in most affordable rates.

The institute offers undergraduate B. Tech, program in the following departments Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics & TeleCommunication Engineering, and Computer Engineering

Admission Procedure

The students are selected through their rank and performance in the AIEEE and the Maharashtra CET examinations. The college also fills seats based on the management quota but it is compulsory for students to appear in any of these examinations.

The College is well known and renowned and various Companies like TCS, CTS, Indian Oil, Tata Teleservices, Videocon, NTPC, Nokia Siemens etc. visit the campus and recruit its students. The institute has over 80% students placed in the campus interviews, and the rest opt for higher studies in some of the premier institutes of the country.
