Admission Procedure

Admission procedure is carried out differently in government/government aided institutions and in private institutions. The primary step to get an admission to this course is to obtain the application form.

Application forms for private institutions can be obtained from the respective institutions in which the applicant is seeking admission. For admission to government or aided institutions, candidates can obtain one application form and list the names of the institutions in the order of preference. Duly filled in application forms should be submitted to the concerned authorities.

Admission will be based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination. Some private institutions conduct entrance examination for admission to the various diploma courses. Merit list will be published accordingly. Government or aided institutions follow the centralized allotment process. Details concerning the allotment procedure and allotment results will be published online.

Candidates can also seek direct admission to the second or third year of study. The eligibility for applying is a pass in class 12 examination having studied a vocational subject or an equivalent from a recognized board.
