Rajiv Gandhi Mahila Mahavidhyalaya was established with the objective of making every effort to give its students and staff members with the best possible opportunity for educational growth and proficiency. The college is coming under the jurisdiction of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University located at Jaunpur.

Course Duration and Intake Capacity:

The duration of Bachelor of Arts course offered by the college is three years and B. Ed course is one year. The total intake capacity for these courses is 420 students and 100 students for B.A and B. Ed courses respectively.

Infrastructural Facilities at Rajiv Gandhi Women’s College:

The building of the college is constructed in a land, which extends to an area of 2798 square meter and the constructed area of land is 1885 square meters. There is a playground in the college, which extends to an area of 6079 square meters and other infrastructural facilities are tutorial/seminar room, workshop, arts & crafts room, language learning lab, educational technology lab, science lab, psychology lab, etc…

College Library:

Rajiv Gandhi College has a big library with a wide collection of books, extensive archives, magazines, encyclopedia and journals. As far as B. Ed course is concerned, the library maintains all the standards as prescribed by National Council for Teacher’s Education and it is also subscribing for reputed magazines and national and international journals. Total number of books in the library is 4713 apart from 2193 title books, 17 journals, 2520 reference books, 4 set of encyclopedia and a collection of other books as well.
