Department of Scientific & Industrial Research is a part of Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The department came into existence as 164th Amendment of the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961. The department is mainly responsible for carrying out the activities relating to indigenous technology promotion, development etc. DSIR is a nodal department for granting recognition to in house R&D units in various universities. The department is best knwon for being a part of the largest research and development organization of India i.e. CSIR.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for applying for the positions of Scientist C and Scientist D in Department of Scientific & Industrial Research. Only Indian Citizens are invited to apply for the specified posts in Department of Scientific & Industrial Research.

Eligibility:

The maximum age limit set for the post of Scientist C is 35 years. Candidates should have age less than 30 years for applying for the specified position of Scientist C. Candidates should have age less than 40 years for applying for the post of Scientist D in Department of Scientific & Industrial Research. Reserved categories candidates will be get relaxation in the upper age limit set for the posts.

Educational Qualification:

For the post of Scientist C: Master’s degree in Natural/Agricultual Science is required for the post. Candidates possessing Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Medicine from a recognized university, are also eligible to apply for the post.

For the post of Scientist D: Master’s degree in Natural/Agricultual Science is required for the post. Candidates possessing Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Medicine from a recognized university, are also eligible to apply for the post.

Scientist D: Only 6 posts are available.

Pay Scale:

Scientist C: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.
Scientist D: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

Selection Process:

Only eligible candidates will be allowed to sit for the personal interview test on specified date. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their applications.
