Baba Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital is a renowned hospital which is located or situated at Jahangirpuri. The hospital is located just adjacent to ITI. The hospital is best known for providing medical care and facilities to all patients. The hospital is a general secrtary or district level hospital. Though the hospital provides various special facilities to the patients but being a secondary level hospital, it does not provides super speciality level care. Two most important factors which make this hospital good in terms of services are that duty doctors are available round the clock and also the emergency operations theatre is functional all 24 hours.

Job Profile:

Interested as well as eligible candidates are requested to apply for the vacant posts of Senior Resident and Junior Residents on regular basis. The appointment of candidates will be made for a period of one year for Senior Residents extendable upto further two years and six months for Junior Residents extendable upto further six month. But the extension of the service period is to be made totally on the basis of candidate’s performance.

Eligibility:

35 years for Senior Resident and 30 Years for Junior Resident as on 1 January 2011. Age relaxation is allowed for SC/ST and OBC category candidates as per rules. However, General category candidates are required to be within the age limit specified for the posts of Senior Residents and Junior Residents.

Educational Qualification:

For the post of Senior Resident: Recognized post graduate degree or diploma from a recognized university. Also candidates must have not completed 3 years Senior Residency in any hospital present in India.

For the post of Junior Resident: MBBS/BDS from recognized university. Also candidates must not have completed 1 year Junior Residency in any recognized institution.

The institute from where candidates have done their respective qualification must be registered with Delhi Medical Council or Delhi Dental council.

Senior Resident: Total 17 posts.
Junior Resident: Total 24 posts.

Pay Scale:

For Senior Residents: Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.
For Junior Residents: Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Candidates will also get the other allowances as per the 6th pay commission report.

Selection Process:

Walk-In-Interview for the vacant posts of Senior Residents and Junior Residents will be held on 27 January 2011 and 28 January 2011 respectively. The interview will be held in the Baba Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital at 10 AM.

How to apply: Eligible candidates may appear in the interview with their bio-data at the Medical Superintendent Office on thedate of Walk-In-Interview before 10 AM. Candidates are need to be bring the attested copies of testimonials and fees of Rs. 200 (non-refundable) in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Medical Superintendent, Baba Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital, Delhi. SC/ST candidates are not required to pay this application fee.
