Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is responsible for all the government programs related to the health planning in the country. The ministry is composed of three important departments including Department of Health, Department of Family Welfare and Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. The minsitry also holds the cabinet rank as a memeber of the Council of Ministers. Indian Phramacopeia Commission is an autonomous body which comes under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Indian Pharmacopeia Commission is responsible for setting of standards for healthcare devices and technologies in the country.

Job Profile:

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is recruiting eligible candidates on the posts of Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II in the Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory which comes under the Directorate General of Helath Services.

Eligibility:

Candidates should be holding analogous post on regular basis in the Pay Band-2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4800 or equivalent in the parent cadre/department. Also candidates should have an experience of atleast 3 years service. The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation is 56 years as on claosing date of reciept of application.

Educational Qualification:

Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Microbiology or Bacteriology or equivalent from a recognized university. Three years experience in Bio-assay of drugs or chemical and physiochemical testing of drugs and cosmetics is also required for the specified post.

Selection Process:

Only a personal interview test will be organized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for making the recruitment of candidates on the post of Senior Scientific Officer. Qualified or successfull candidates of the interview test will be considered as the selected ones for the specified post. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare holds the right to cancel the application of any candidatesif he/she founds to be not eligible for the post.
