SIT Siliguri, Siliguri Institute of Technology, Siliguri
Situated at a place Sukna in Siliguri in Darjeeling in the state of West Bengal Siliguri Institute of Technology was set up in the year 1999 under the Techno India group of colleges. The college is affiliated to WBUT and has the approval of AICTE.
Courses Offered
A number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses are offered by the college in its curriculum. The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) course is offered in the following different streams like Computer Science & Engineering; Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Electronics and Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering and Hotel Management and Catering Technology. The institute also has programs such as BBA, BCA, MBA and MCA.
Admission
The candidates seeking admission to the college are selected on merit basis by selection being done on the basis of their rank in the WBJEE and AIEEE. For getting admitted to the MBA course one must clear the CAT examination and must have bachelor degree with him.
Infrastructure
The institute is spread over a big chunk of land and provides all the necessary facilities. The college has got well stocked and furnished library, most modern laboratories and all the other facilities like high speed internet connection all the time.
Placement
The placement cell of the college works greatly and manages to bring all the big multinational companies during the campus selection procedure. Among a number of companies that visit the campus during that campus selection are Infosys Ltd., Satyam Computer Services ltd., Tata InfoTech, TCS, WIPRO, Tech Mahindra, CTS, Accenture and Hindustan Motors.

There is one mistake in this article. Sit don’t have Bio-medical engineering, instead they have civil engineering (started from 2011).
