Pattern of SMIT UGET:

The entrance test is usually an objective type test with multiple choice questions. There will be 80 questions from Mathematics subject, 60 from Physics subject, 60 questions from Chemistry and 40 questions from General English.

Eligibility for SMIT UGET:

If a candidate wishes to take up the SMIT UGET Examination, he/she will have to complete the higher secondary examination with not less than 50% of marks (45% in the case of candidates falling under SC/ST category) in chemistry, mathematics and physics or the candidates might also have taken any one of biology, biotechnology or computer science as optional subject.

However candidates who have passed the diploma in the appropriate branch of Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education with at least 50% marks in aggregate are also eligible to apply for SMIT UGET. Even students who are just appearing for the qualifying examination can also apply provisionally for the SMIT UGET.
