Eligibility requirement:

For seeking admission to both the courses, candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline with not less than 50% of marks (45% for SC/ST candidates. Even candidates who are employed in film production/television, TV channel and newspaper companies are also eligible to apply to the course, if they are sponsored by their employer.

What do the courses cover?

MS Communication course covers advertising, corporate communication, television production, radio, print media and other media-related areas and this course is spread over two years. This course can be considered equivalent to the tradition MA in Journalism and mass communication course.

M. Sc in Electronic media is a highly advanced course that deals exclusively with radio and television production incorporating multi-media techniques and skills.

How to apply:

Candidates can get the prospectus either in person or through post by drawing a DD for an amount of Rs. 300 (Rs. 200 for SC/ST) in favor of the Director, SSCMS payable to Tumkur towards cost of application. Candidates will have to submit the filled in application along with copies of required certificates to the college. Selection of candidates will be purely based on merit secured by the students in the qualifying examination and in interview and written test.
