Sree Ramachandra (SRM) University is conducting this exam for admitting candidates to MBBS and BDS courses. These courses are offered at various Institutes under SRM University. Candidates will be selected for admission according to the score obtained in this exam.

Structure of SRM Institute of Science and Technology Medical Entrance Exam

In this test, questions will be asked along with four choices of answers. Candidates can choose their answers from these choices. For every wrong answer there will be negative marking. If the answer they have indicated is right then four marks will be awarded for the same.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this test, candidates need plus two or its equivalent qualification. Also, they should have studied English Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects in their curriculum.

How to Apply?

Forms can be either purchased from University offices or downloaded from the University website. After filling, these should be sent to the Director, Admissions, SRM University, Kattankulathur - 603203, Kancheepuram District, Tamilnadu, India. It should be accompanied with a DD of Rs.1000/- payable at Chennai. DD should be taken in the name of SRMIST.

How to fill the Form?

Applicants should confirm all the details specified in the form are correct. They should complete the form with block letters. Applicants should affix their signature and photograph on the space specified in the form. Forms should be sent to the concerned authority with all the relevant documents.

Study Plan

Medical entrance exam is one of the most difficult entrance exams conducted in this country. Therefore students need to concentrate more on studying so as to get a good score. They need to have outstanding preparation to develop knowledge in theory and practical aspect of subjects. They need to develop a composed mind without getting tensed of exam. Usually student will get nervous as the exam approaches. This will affect the concentration of the student. Their studies will not go smoothly on losing the concentration. Students should attend mock tests and solve old question papers. Both of them will reveal the strength and weakness of the student. They can improve themselves by doing so.

By knowing the exam pattern from old question paper, students can improve their speed to solve a question. They will also understand how to divide the available time among different sections. It is not a good idea to study new topics just before the exam. Utilize that time to remember the topics, which have studied already. Students should begin their revision at least one month before the exam. Revise the easy topics first and then move on to difficult topics. Focus on all the three subjects even though Biology is the main subject. Learn the formulas in Physics and practice as much questions on it. Manage the time spend on each subject diligently.
