ST. Stephen’s College is one of the oldest colleges of India. It was established in the year 1881 on 1st February in the pre independence era. The college progressed very slowly. This is the oldest college in Delhi. The college started as a religious foundation. It was first affiliated to Calcutta university then to Punjab University & ultimately to Delhi University in 1922. The college has come a long way after its establishment. Today it is one of the premier educational institutions in India. Students come from different parts of the India to study in this institute. The college is also known for its different other curriculums except than studies such as different clubs and association maintained by the faculties & the students.
