Superior Judicial Service, High Court of Punjab and Haryana
High Court of Haryana and Punjab was established in the year 1966 under the jurisdiction of Punjab, Harayan and Chandigarh. The court is authorized by Constitution of India. The decisions of the counrt are appealed to Supreme Court of India. The strength of this court is 68 judges in which there is one Chief Justice, 36 Permanent Judges and 31 Additional Judges. Mr. Mukul Mudgal is the current Chief Justice of the court. He was appointed on December 2009 and he is to retire on January 3, 2011. The shifting of the seat of the High Court was occurred on January 17, 1955.
Job Profile:
Eligible Indian Nationals are invited to apply for the vacant positions of Superior Judicial Service (Haryana) in High Court of Punjab and Haryana. Candidates are required to ensure their eligibility for the specified post before applying in High Court of Punjab and Haryana. Candidates will be recruited by way of direct recruitment through the conduct of a competitive written examination. The bumber of posts are subject to variation as per the requirment of the court.
Eligibility:
The very first eligibility condition set is that candiates should be a citizen of India. Besides this, candiates should also have age within the prescribed age limit set for the post i.e.
The minimum age limit set for the post of Superior Judicial Service is 35 years as on 1 January 2012.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Superior Judicial Service is 45 years as on 1 January 2012.
Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes or Backward Classes candidates will get relaxation of minimum 5 years in the maximum age limit set for the post i.e. 45 years as on 1 January 2012.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates are required to have been enrolled as an Advocate. Candidates should has practised for a period of atleast 7 or more years as on the last date for the reciept of application i.e. 31 January 2012. Besides this, candidates should also have passed Matriculation examination or equivalent with Hindi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects. Candidates should have passed the Matriculation from a recognized board of Government of India.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary.
Application Fee:
All interested candidates are required to pay the prescribed amount of application fee. The payment must be done through a Bank Draft drawn in favour of Registrar General, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh only.
Application fee for General candidates: Rs. 1000 only.
Application fee for SC/ST/BC candidates: Rs. 500 only.
How to apply: Candidates must apply in the prescribed format only and that too on or before the last date for the reciept of application. Application form complete in all respect should reach to the below mentioned address accompanied by the other required enclosures. Application recieved after due date will not be entertained by the court under any special circumstances.
