Harish Chandra Research Institute is a research institution which came into existence in the year 1966. The institute is named after the famous mathematician, Harish Chandra. The institute is located at Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Amitava Ray Chaudhary is the Director of the institute. The institute provides various post graduate courses to students. The institute is actually an autonomous institute funded by the Department of Atmoic Energy, Government of India. The major objective of the institute is to become of the premier institute of India in the research works in theoretical physics and mathematics.
