Directorate General Border Security Force was established on December 1, 1965. The headquarters of the Border Security Force is located in the state of Delhi. Mr. Raman Srivastava is the Director General of the force. The Border Security Force is a component of the paramilitary forces of India. The major objective of the force is to guard the international borders of the country during peacetime. The another major function of the force is to prevent transnational crime.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited to apply on the specified positions of Sub Inspector/Junior Engineer in the field of Civil Engineering in Directorate General Border Security Force. Only male indian citizens will be appointed to specified Group ‘B’ post. The specified post is temporary but likely to become permanent. Number of vacancies are subject to be changed.

Eligibility:

Candidates should have age in between 18 to 25 year as on the last date for the reciept of application. Reserved categories candidates will get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit set for the specified post in Directorate General Border Security Force.

Candidates are also required to have the following physical standards:

Height: 165 cms with correlated weight. Relaxable by 5 cms for candidates from hill stations.
Chest: Minimum 76 cm. Relaxable by 2 cms for candidates below 20 years of age.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to have attained minimum three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from an institute recognized by Central/State Government. Candidates, who does not possess the minimum educational qualification, should not apply for the specified post in Directorate General Border Security Force.

OBC category candidates: 7 posts are available.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 50 is need to be submitted as examination fee in the form of a bank draft. The bank draft must be drawn in favour of DDO HQ DGBSF, payable at Service Branch, New Delhi (Code-7687). SC/ST categories candidates are not required to submit this examination fee.

Selection Process:

The selection procedure includes three different stages named Written Test, Medical Test and Interview test. All candidates will have to undergo these three stages of the selection process. Only qualified candidates of all these three stages of selection process, will be considered at the time of the final selection of candidates.

How to apply: Application form must be accompanied with the attested copies of certificates, three recent passport size photograph duly attested by a Gazetted Officer and two self addressed envelopes of size of 25*12cms stampted worth Rs. 27 each. All these enclosures must be sent in an envelope superscribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF SUB INSPECTOR/JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL) IN BSF ENGG SET UP AND NDRF BNs” to the following address:
