Swami Vishwatamanand Saraswati Degree College was established in the year 2000 with the objective of offering modern education to the students’ fraternity and to revive the cultural heritage of India. The college is offering education under the affiliation of Jammu University.

Admission Procedure:

A student who has completed his/her higher secondary examination from the School Education Board of Jammu & Kashmir is eligible for seeking admission to the B.A/B. Sc course offered by the college. A student who has reappeared for any of the papers in the higher secondary examination is also eligible to apply. Any student, who has a break in his /her academic career, need not apply. However, if a student has a valuable reason for break he/she can be admitted at the discretion of the Principal.

College Library:

With a view to inculcate more and more interest among the students for acquiring knowledge, the college is provided with a library with a collection of more than 20,000 books. The collection includes different kinds of encyclopedias and latest books pertaining to subjects like history, geography, arts, language and science. The library has a separate room for reading and the college has included compulsory library session in the day to day time table.
