Indian Institute of Chemical Technology is located at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The institute has an urban campus located at Tarnaka. Mr. J. S. Yadav is the present Director of the institute. The institute was established in the year 1983 as an autonomous institute. The institute comes under the Council of Scientific and Industrial research. The institute is responsible for conducting research in the field of basic & applied chemistry, bio informatics, chemical engineering etc. The institute also provides various inputs for the economic development of the country.
Job Profile:
Indian Institute of Chemical Technology is looking forward to recruit eligible and qualified candidates on the vacant posts of Technician (1) in various trades. Only eligible Indian Nationals are invited to apply for the specified position. Vacancies are available in the trades such as Attendant Operator, Welder, Shett Metal Worker, Mill Wright, Electrician, Glass Blower, Plumber, Mason, Carpenter, Instrumentation Mehcanic, Laboratory Assistant, Information Technology and Electronic System Maintenance and Desktop Publishing Operator. The number of vacancies are provisional and may vary at the time of selection.
Age Criteria:
All interested candidates are required to follow the age criteria set for the post of Technician (1) in Indian Institute of Chemical Technology. The maximum age limit set for the post is 28 years i.e. candidates should have age less than 28 years for being eligible for applying. Reserved categories candidates may get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit as per the rules of Government of India.
Eligibility:
The minimum educational qualification required for the post of Technician (1) in Indian Institute of Chemical Technology is SSC or 10th standard with Science subjects from a recognized board. Candidates must also possess minimum 55% marks in aggregate in 10th or SSC. Besides the prescribed qualification, candidates are also required to possess ITI certificate or National/ State trade certificate in the concerned trade. The prescribed qualification is need to be possessed by the interested candidates for being eligibile for applying for the specified posts.
No. of posts: Only 24 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.
Selection Process:
The two different stages of the Selection Process are:
i. Written or Trade Test, and
ii. Interview Test
Candidates must qualify in both these stages of the selection process for ensuring their selection in Indian Institute of Chemical Technology.
