The Chevening Gurukul Leadership Programme offered at the London School of Economics (LSE) is the United Kingdom Foreign & commonwealth offices scholarship scheme of the country. Candidates who are chosen for this scholarship will be given an all expenditure paid, residential course for a period of 12 weeks at the London School of Economics.This scholarship can be considered to be a unique opportunity available for 16 chosen candidates from India.

Each one of the scholarships includes the following:

  • Fees for the entire program
  • Accommodation as well as living expenses for the entire period of the scholarship. This will be for a maximum duration of 12 weeks.
  • Return airfare for the candidate – from India to UK
  • UK Schengen Visa as well as student visa.
UK LSE Chevening Scholarships Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicants ought to be professionals with minimum work experience of five years.
  • They should be professionals from any field like politics, media or the NGO’s. Aspirants can also be from any public/private sectors.
  • Graduates can apply as well. But it is required by them to have the ability to demonstrate exceptional leadership experience by way of either scholastic or extracurricular activities
UK LSE Chevening Scholarships General eligibility criteria
  • Only students of Indian origin who have a valid passport will be eligible to apply
  • Students ought to be able to write as well as speak in English.
  • Students will not be eligible if they have any other scholarship funded by the British government or if they work/have worked with then in the preceding 2 years.
  • Students will also be considered ineligible if they apply for this scholarship from another country or are not planning to come back to India after the completion of this course for a minimum period of 2 years.

Before students apply for the scholarship, they need to select an appropriate Masters Programme and apply for the same before the months of September / October. It is also required by the students to produce their proof of admission when they present themselves for the interview.
