UKSEE(Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination) is held by the Uttarakhand Technical University for undertaking admission in different disciplines such as engineering, pharmacy, architecture, computer applications and hotel management at the under graduated level. Uttarakhand Technical University is the primary State based University that offers quality based professional programs in several Government aided/self-financing/private Institutes within the jurisdiction of the state of Uttarakhand.

UKSEE holds an admission test for undertaking admission in the B.Phram program. There are large numbers of institutes that are associated with the entrance test. The total number of seats offered in the Government College is 90 and the number of seats offered in the private based Institute for the B.Pharm program is 780 seats. The total number of seats offered or the candidates belonging to the state domicile is 90% and 10% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to other states. However for private based institutes, 35% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to other states, 15% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the reservation quota 50% of the seats are reserved for candidates of the state.

Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and any one of Chemistry, Bio-Technology,

Computer Science and Biology to be eligible for B.Pharm programme. Candidates from all over India can appear for the entrance exam. Those who will appear for their final exams in 2011 can also apply.

Application Forms:

The forms will be available from the designated post offices in various cities of Uttarakhand as well as from Post offices of Lucknow GPO, Meerut City HO and New Delhi GPO. The form can also be obtained by post from UTU Office by sending a request for the form along with a demand draft.

Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: March 3rd week, 2011

Pattern of Examination:

The entrance test for B.Pharm consists of two papers: Candidates have to compulsorily appear for Physics and Chemistry Paper and either for Mathematics or Biology Paper. Physics and Chemistry Paper will be of 150 minutes duration consisting of 150 multiple choice questions. Mathematics Paper and Biology Paper will be both of 90 minutes duration each consisting of 75 multiple choice questions. There will be no negative marking.
