The Prestigious Allahabad University conducts admission to its two year based MBA programs. The University is one of the oldest and amongst the most recognized one in the country. The University was established in the year 1887 and ever since has offered number of great courses to the deserving candidates. The University observed the first year in 1965 to offer the course in the form of elite Motilal Nehru Institute of Research & Business Administration (MONIRBA). The Institute has great infrastructural facilities to the candidates and offers great placement to them. Most of the year, it observes over 95% in terms of recruitment of the candidates.
In order to retain an admission in the course, of the Motilal Nehru Institute of Research & Business Administration (MONIRBA), candidates have to appear in the CET or Common Entrance Test. The exam is conducted by the Institute. The test is held in different cities namely Delhi, Allahabad, Jaipur, Pune and Kolkata. Those of the candidates, who are selected after the test, are called for a series of GD and PI. Only after assessing marks in all of the stages of the admission, is the final list thrown out. The institute only offers a minimum of 33 seats in the MBA based programmes.
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or is equivalent from any of the recognized institute. Candidates who are in their final year of graduation can also apply. They should earn a minimum of forty percent in the same. However candidates belonging to the reservation categories are offered relaxation in the above said eligibility criterion.
Availability of Application forms:
The application forms for MONIRBA can be downloaded through the websitewww.monirba.com. After downloading the candidates have to submit the filled form along with a demand draft by person/post. Candidates who are availing the application form through post have to forward a requisite letter along with a DD in favor of the Registrar of the Institute. These candidates are also advised to provide a specimen of their signature as well as the Registration Number at the bottom end of the letter for future verification.
Important Dates (Tentative):
• Last date of submitting completed application forms: April 3rd week, 2011
• Date of CET: May 4th week, 2011
Please note that the dates are only tentative and are not final. The post will be updated as soon as the dates are officially released.
Pattern of CET and GD/PI:
CET will be of 3 hours duration consisting of 200 multiple choice questions divided as follows:
Communication Ability in English: 50 questions
Aptitude and Reasoning: 50 questions
General Awareness: 50 questions
Quantitative Aptitude: 50 questions
Each correct answer will fetch the candidate 3 marks while for an incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted. Candidates who are selected in CET have to appear in GD and PI which are of 50 marks each.
