University of Delhi is one of the most reputed Universities in India and it offers high standard of teaching and infrastructural facilities for the students. University of Delhi M.Sc Physics Entrance Test is an entrance exam conducted by Delhi University for the selection of eligible candidates for the MSc Physics course offered by various institutes under Delhi University. The selection of the candidates is mainly on the basis of the entrance test. M.Sc Physics examination is conducted by Department of Physics under Delhi University. The duration of the course is two years. Numerous candidates apply for the test every year.

Structure of University of Delhi M.Sc Physics Entrance Test

The admission for the M Sc courses in Delhi University is on the basis of a written entrance test. The time allotted for the entrance test is three hours and the test includes questions in objective type question format. The test consists of 150 questions and each question is provided with four marks. Those who mark the correct answer for the question will get four marks and one mark is reduced for the incorrect answer. Total marks awarded for the test is 600 marks. The questions are mainly from the topics the candidates studied in their B Sc course curriculum.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who are looking for admission for the M Sc Physics in Delhi University need to complete the Bachelors Degree in Physics as main subjects and Chemistry/Statistics/Geology/Electronics/Computer Science as subsidiary subjects with 60% marks. The candidates must have obtained the degree from Delhi University or any other equivalent University. The SC/ST candidates are provided with 5% age relaxation.

How to Apply?

The interested candidates can obtain the application form from the Faculty of Science Office, University of Delhi located in New Delhi against the application fee payment. The cost of the application form is Rs.150/-. Those who need to receive the application form have to send a crossed bank draft of Rs.150/- from State Bank of India bank branch and a letter of requisition in a self addressed envelope to the Registrar of Delhi University. A postage stamp of Rs.30 should be pasted in the envelope.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates should fill the form correctly by following all the instructions for filling the form. The instructions for filling the form will be there in the official website and also in the admission brochure which is available with the application form. The form should be filled by the candidate in Block letters with a ball point pen. The details entered in the form must be clear and correct. Any mistake leads to the disqualifying of the candidates. The photo of the candidate must be affixed in the form and it should be clear. The bank draft should be sent with the form. The form should be sent to the University before the last date for doing so.
