University of Kashmir is a pioneering University which offers various courses through regular medium as well as distance mode. The University organizes entrance exam every year for the admittance of the eligible candidates to its various courses in different fields.

Structure of University of Kashmir M.A in English Entrance Exam

The University of Kashmir M.A in English Entrance Exam will be of objective type multiple choice pattern. There will be 60 objective type questions each carrying 1 mark. There will also be negative marking; for each wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted. The questions will be mainly from the syllabus of English which one has pursued in their under graduate programme. The total time allotted for the exam is 120 minutes.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates those who have completed their under graduate programme in English or allied subjects from a recognized University are eligible to apply for the University of Kashmir M.A in English Entrance Exam. The candidates in the final year programme of Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply for the same.

How to Apply?

The application form along with the information prospectus can obtained from various sale counters of the University by payment of fees of Rs. 250/-. The same can also be obtained from the official website of the University for which the application fee has to be deposited in any branch of the J&K Bank Ltd. The completed application form along with the required enclosures has to be sent to the Dean Academic Affairs, University of Kashmir, Srinagar before the last date.

How to fill the Form?

• Read the information brochure before form filling
• All the columns in the application form have to be carefully filled following the instructions in the prospectus
• No column should be left blank
• Fill the application form completely furnishing the exact details
• The name, date of birth and other personal details provided in the application form should match with that in the higher secondary certificate
• Paste a recent passport size photograph in appropriate place

For those who have downloaded the application form from the official website, along with the application form and other required enclosures, the counterfoil (University copy) of the Pay-in-Slip also has to be sent
