UPSC Mains literature Gujarati Paper II Papers
Civil services examination is conducted by UPSC every year which is highly reputed and prestigious. After clearing the preliminary exam, candidates are required to sit for the mains where they are required to choose an optional subject of literature such as Gujarati.
Qualification for appearing in this exam:
Candidates must have a degree of graduation from a recognised University or institution. Candidates of final year can also apply for the paper if they are able to produce the passing certificate on the time of interview. Age limit for general candidates is 21-30 years however there is relaxation for SC/ST candidates. Only citizen of India can sit in this examination.
Scoring and Negative Marking:
There are long answer type questions and these are divided into 2-4 sub-questions for the ease of candidates. Also, marks depend on the content of answer. There are no negative marking in it.
Mode of Exam:
This is a conventional paper and they are answered on an answer sheet.
Format:
This one is a pen paper examination. Candidates have to write their answers in the answer sheets. Paper is a subjective one and contains theoretical questions.
Paper Pattern:
All questions in the paper are of theoretical type and total questions in the paper are 8 which are kept I 2 different sections. Each question carries same marks. Only 5 questions are needed to be attempted. 1st question in each section is compulsory to be attempted. Rest 3 questions are to be chosen from remaining 6 questions taking 1 from each section.
Marking:
Paper contains 300 marks in it and each question is of 60 marks.
Schedule:
Paper is needed to be completed in 3 hours only.
