West Bengal Post Graduate Medical Admission Test 2012
The West Bengal University of Health Sciences organizes an admission test which is popularly known as West Bengal Post Graduate Admission Test annually for selecting the talented candidates to the various Post Graduate Medical Courses.
Structure of West Bengal Post Graduate Medical Admission Test
The West Bengal University of Health Sciences prepares a merit list by organizing a post graduate medical entrance test for the candidates those who seek admission to the various post graduate medical courses. The candidates will be allowed to take the test only if they have submitted the applications within the stipulated time. The question will be set in English language and it contains about 200 multiple choice questions. For each right answer the candidate will be awarded with 3 marks where as one mark will be deduced for an incorrect answer. The candidates have to finish off the examination within the time limit of 150 minutes. They have to score a minimum of 300 marks in order to pass the examination.

Eligibility Criteria
The aspirants must have pursued the M.B.B.S degree from the University of West Bengal in order to become eligible to apply for the post graduate medical entrance test. The candidate must hold a membership of the West Bengal Medical council or Indian Medical Council. A candidate who is already pursuing a post graduate medical course in any of the Universities in India is not permitted to apply for the post graduate medical examination that is being organized by the University of West Bengal.
How to Apply?
The candidates have to submit the application forms online between the second week of November and the first week of December. Those students who download the application forms can submit the print copy in person at the West Bengal university of Health Sciences except Saturdays, Sundays and other public holidays. The duly filled in forms will be accepted only till the second week of December. The demand draft that has to be attached along with the applications must be drawn before the first week of December.
How to fill the Form?
The candidates have to fill the application form according to the instructions that has been provided in the admission brochure. After filling the application forms completely, the candidates are advised to take a photo copy of the same. The candidates have to affix a recent colour photograph of themselves in the box provided for pasting it. A Xerox copy of the identity card must be attached along with the dilled in application form. The demand draft of the prescribed amount should be enclosed along with the form. The applications must reach the specified address before the last date.
