The Society Group of Jesus made a point to establish a self financed engineering institution for the minority group and came up with the Xavier Institute of Engineering in the year 2005. The main aim to establish this college is “To nurture the joy of excellence in a world of high technology” and a target of keeping pace with global trends and scenario by providing world class, high quality education. This is achieved by a good amount of interaction with the industry, staff training on a frequent basis to raise the bars for the quality of lives if the pupils.

This institute is associated to the University of Mumbai and has the approval of the AICTE. It also has the recognition of Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra.

Overview

The management of the institute is in the responsible hands of Fr. Francis de Melo, S.J, who is a great humanitarian and educationist with a vision to make the success story of the institute immortal. He is the Chairman of Bombay Xaverian Corporation, the parent body of various Jesuit Trusts / Societies. An IIT alumni, a renowned educationist Dr. Sunil G. Kirloskar is the principal of the institution. He has innumerous projects and research papers to his credit. The current success of the institution is because of its highly qualified and experienced rather trained faculty which is there to educate the budding minds.

With well equipped laboratories, well stocked library, audiovisual room, engineering workshop, communication skill workshop, gymkhana and recreational activity centre the college campus is what a student always dreams of.
