University of Kerala offers the course of MCA or Post Graduate degree in the Discipline of Computer Applications. There are about five papers in the 03rd Semester of MCA course and the name of each are:

•    UNIX NETWORK PROGRAMMING
•    COMPUTER COMMUNICATIONS
•    COMPUTER GRAPHICS
•    DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
•    MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Each of the question papers have a maximum of seventy-five marks and each of the questions papers belonging to a particular paper has two, three or four segments accordingly. The questions in all the sections are basically core based type and conceptual too.

There are no defined format or marks distribution but usually, maximum marks for any of the question is seven. Candidates have the option to opt for any two or three in the total number of questions in any of the Module as per mentioned in the question paper. Each of the paper has a distinct credits attached to it and candidates are awarded marks as per their Credit to the total Credit. Both Long answers as well as short answer questions are offered in the papers. Candidates are advised to go through Mock Questions papers to secure good marks.
