About the paper:

Technology Data Relational Database Management Systems Papers enhances the theoretical and practical knowledge of the student undergoing this course. It comes in the fifth semester of this course.

Syllabus:

The topics covered in this paper ranges  from  basic concepts of  relational database to representation of data in a form of relations, using relational operators, key data types, concepts of constraints, SQL queries and their application in real life situation. Designing a database schema, database security, ER diagram, File management, Client-server architecture. Use of indexed sequential file organizations etc.

Paper Pattern:

The theoretical paper is divided into two sections A and section B. Section A consists of compulsory objective type questions with marks allotted being 26.There are multiple type questions and short answers. Section B consists of long questions with an option of attempting two out of three questions, each question is of 12 marks.

The practical paper has only one compulsory question of 20 marks. The rest ten marks is allotted to the viva voce.

Full marks of the question and the time allotted:

The total marks allotted in the theoretical examination is 50 with time allotted being 2 hours. The practical examination of 1 hour duration and the maximum marks allotted is of 30.It has a weight age of 25 %. The viva voce is allotted maximum marks of 10 under the practical examination.
