B.A LLB in NLSIU
National Law School of India University is one of the top reputed institutions providing legal education in India. The institute provides both under graduate (LLB) and post graduate level (LLM) law courses. Research degrees such as M.Phil (Master of Philosophy), Ph.D (Doctor of Philosophy) and LL.D (Doctor of Laws) are also offered by this University. The admission to these courses in NLSIU will be purely on merit basis only. To pursue admission in the National Law School, Bangalore, the aspirants should have the minimum educational qualification required by the University and also has to clear the qualifying exam conducted by the CLAT committee.
Admission Process for B.A LLB in NLSIU
Candidates those who wish to pursue admission to the B.A LLB programme in National Law School of India University should qualify the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) organized by the CLAT committee. Interested ones can obtain the application form either by sending a request along with the Demand Draft to the convener of the CLAT committee or can download from the website portal www.clat.ac.in and should be submitted to the concerned address along with application fee. All those who have completed their higher secondary education with minimum 50% aggregate and have not completed 20 years as on first week of July in the admission year can apply for the test. There will be a relaxation in age and marks for the backward caste candidates. The test will be conducted every year in the month of May. The CLAT qualifying exam comprises of objective type questions which has to be answered within 120 minutes.
Fee structure of B.A LLB in NLSIU
The tuition fee of the National Law School of India University is round about Rs.80000 per annum. Other fees such as admission fees, facilities fees (including infrastructural fee, library fee, medical fee, internet fee, sports & gym fee, SBA & Moot court fee and ID card fee), hostel charges and refundable deposits (including hostel deposit, library deposit and mess deposit) will be charged from students in addition to tuition fees. In total, the fees may come around Rs.1,72,700/- per annum. However there is a relaxation in fees for the SC/ST community students. They will only have to pay an amount of nearly Rs. 1,70,200/- per annum. The fee structure of foreign nationals is also different from the others. They will have to pay about USD 7600 per annum (Tution fee $5,500 and other fees $2,100)
