Geography and Economics is basically a combination paper. This subject deals with the studies of Geography and Economics with the help of a number of experiments for a more practical approach. There can also be a number of map work related stuff included for geography and for Economics. For the Economics portion, there are basic stuffs related to the simple Economics.

Importance Of The Subject:

Geography, as we all know is a universal language in the mapping and location term in today’s times. It’s a must knowing this subject, no matter from whichever part of the world you are. Now for a country like India, which is constantly in competition with other nations, it is really important to make sure that our students who are the building block of our future’s country learn subjects like Economics diligently and sincerely. Through a subject like Economics, we definitely form a command over our analytical skills but we also get to learn some amazing things by different techniques and tricks from different walks of life. This definitely adds onto our knowledge.

Paper Pattern:

The paper pattern can be described as follows:

The entire paper has been divided into two parts- part A and part B.

PART A:

The first question consists of a number of multiple-choice questions, fill in the blanks and match the following types of questions.

PART B:

This set consist of question, which are supposed to be answered with really few words. They should be eight from Geography and two from economics.

PART C:

This part is basically consisting of lone types questions, which have to answered both from geography as well as economics.

PART D:

This portion consists of various long paragraph form answering type questions. These also have to be answered both from Geography as well as Economics.

Frequently Asked Questions:

The most frequently asked questions consists of the map work. The basic question are like fill in the blanks with the appropriate options. There are also many-repeated question like answer in one or two lines, with a lot of definitions and name the following from here and there. Now in the Economics section, one should pay a lot of attention to question based on answer in paragraphs, as they can quite lengthy and quite tricky due to the graph and diagrams to be utilized for demonstration.

Marks And Time Allotted:

The total time given for the entire paper is two and a half hours. The total marks given for the paper are 100 marks. Now individually, Geography is for 70 marks and Economics is for 30 marks. Part 1 has 25 marks, part 2 has 20 marks, part 3 has been allotted 15 marks and part 4 has been allotted 20 marks all together.
