The admittance of the candidates to the PhD programmes will be on the basis of score obtained in the entrance exam conducted by the University.

Structure of North Maharashtra University Ph.D. in Physics Entrance Exam

North Maharashtra University PhD Physics Entrance Exam will consist of 2 papers. First paper is common for all subject and will consist of research aptitude type questions. In this section there will be 50 multiple choice questions each carrying 2 marks. There will be no negative marking. The paper II will consist of subject specific questions. There will be multiple choice questions of 20 marks and theoretical / descriptive type questions of 80 marks. In total, both the sections – Paper I and Paper II carries a maximum score of 100 marks.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed post graduate degree examination in Physics or allied subjects with at least 50 % marks or equivalent CGPA from any recognized statutory University which is a member of AIU, New Delhi are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

How to Apply?

The application form is available in the official website http://nmu.ac.in/. The candidates are required to fill the application form online and take the print out of the same after online submission. The hard copy of the application form along with required enclosures and DD of Rs. 500/- (Rs 350/- for reserved category candidates) from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of Registrar, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon payable at Jalgaon has to be sent to Director, Board of Colleges and University Development (BCUD), North Maharashtra University, Umavi Nagar, Jalgaon-425001 on or before the due date.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates have to fill the application form very carefully. All the columns have to be filled furnishing the exact details. The instructions regarding filling the application form are mentioned in the information brochure. Applicants are advised to read it before starting to fill the form. One has to write the application form number, name and address behind the D.D.
