Eligibility requirements and application procedure for B.Ed course may vary slightly with each University. Generally, graduation in any of streams of Arts, Commerce, Science, or Music is considered as the necessary eligibility. Certain colleges/Universities offer admission to the course on the basis of marks scored in qualifying exam. Some others carry out common entrance test like CSSET for selection purpose. Applications for such entrance test and admission can be forwarded via the official website of the concerned college.

Apart from theoretical classes, the course curriculum covers practical works and lessons. Knowledge of the student in theoretical topics (mentioned above) is evaluated by examinations conducted by the concerned university. For internal assessment, practical works and projects done will be taken into consideration.

Eligibility for B.Ed Course

Bachelor degree holders and/or PG holders are eligible to seek admission to B.Ed course. Qualification must be obtained in any of the disciplines of Arts/Science/Commerce with minimum 50% marks. Candidates under reserved category can expect relaxation of marks.

Selection Procedure of B.Ed course

Admission procedure of B.Ed course may vary with University. Certain Universities consider marks of the qualifying examination for selection process where as some others conducts entrance tests. Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSV) conducts Combined Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed) Entrance Test (CSSET) at the beginning of each academic year for selecting eligible candidates. Universities like Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University also carry out combined entrance exam for B.Ed course.

Application Procedure of B.Ed course

Application for B.Ed course can be submitted through the official website of University that offers the course. Before starting the application process, applicant must pay a specific amount of application fee. Vidyasagar University charges Rs.200/- as application fee and this can be paid through any of the branches of UCO bank (in West Bengal). After making the fee payment, candidate can start filling the application form. This can be done either via online or by downloading the soft copy of application form. In submitting filled applications forms also, one can opt with online or offline method. Those who use the printed copy of application form can send the same via post where as others can opt for online submission.
