Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai Regional Office recruits ex-service men from Mumbai for the post of Security Guards. Minimum qualification required to apply for the post of security guard is pass in SSC and maximum qualification is degree in any stream. Candidates who hold Army special Certificate of Education can also apply. Selection is done on the basis of written test or interview. Eligibility Criteria for Security Guard Recruitment in RBI

Ex-service men only are eligible to apply for this post. Maximum qualification required is under graduation and minimum qualification required is pass in 10th. Ex-service men who have passed the Army Special Certificate of Education can also apply provided that such qualification should be entered in ‘Soldier’s Discharge Book’. Necessary supporting certificates should be there. If any particular certificate is not available then the applicant should get the endorsements made in above said ‘Soldier’s Discharge Book’. During the time of interview and examination candidates should produce testimonials/original certificates etc. Bank will not accept any laminated certificates from the candidate.

Age Limitations;

• Normal age limit is prescribed as 25 years
• For SC/ST candidates age limit is 30 years
• For OBC candidates age limit is 28 years

Further age relaxation is prescribed as per the years of Armed Forces service along with 3 years which is subject to upper age limit of 45 years. If any dispute arises in case of age then date of birth as per school leaving certificate will be final.

Experience Required;

Ex-servicemen should have proper military background stating that he should actually be in military service. Experience in handling ammunition and arms in the military are also essential. Degree holders and graduates are not eligible and should not apply for this post.

Selection and Application Process

Eligible candidates will have to appear for written teat or interview. Final selection will be on the basis of performance of such written test or interview. Suitable candidates will be selected, appointed and placed for security Guard post according to the vacancies available and as per the requirements of reservation.  Application form can be downloaded from the official website of RBI. Application form must accompany attested Photostat copies of certificates and documents. Right top corner of the application form should bear latest passport size photograph of the candidate with signature. Application forms must be sent in ordinary post or can be put in the box which is kept at Main office building entrance of RBI.  Before applying one should strictly ensure whether they satisfy all eligibility requirements or not.
