Central University of Gujarat was established on March 3, 2009 under an Act of Parliament. The university comes under the control of Government of India. The university was established under the Central University Act, 2009 of Parliament of India. One of the major objective of the university is to perform dissemination and advancement of knowledge to make special provisions for integrated courses. The university was initially started with the aim of educating and training the manpower for the development of the country. Professor Raosaheb K kale was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the university.

Job Profile:

Eligible candidates are invited to apply in Central University of Gujarat for the faculty positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Vacancies are available in the School of International Studies, School of Social Sciences, School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies, School of Chemical Sciences, School of Life Sciences and School of Environment and Sustainable Development. 1. Recruitment of Professor:

Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to be an eminent scholar with Ph.D. degree in the concerned discipline. Candidates should also possess minimum 10 years of experience in the teaching or research field.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
No. of posts: Only 32 posts are available.
Education Qualification: candidates should possess a good academic record with Ph.D. degree in concerned discipline. Candidates should also have passed Master’s degree with atleast 55% marks in aggregate. Minimum 8 years of experience in the teaching or research field is also required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9000.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:
No. of posts: Only 64 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have an excellent academic record. Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university is required as the minimum educational qualification. Besides this, candidates should also have cleared National Eligibility Test conducted by UGC/CSIR.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 500 is need to be submitted by the candidates for applying for any of the above specified position in Central University of Gujarat. However, The amount of application fee is Rs. 250 for OBC candidates. No fee is to be submitted by the SC/ST candidates as they are exempted from payment of application fee. The application fee is totally non refundable and it should be paid in the form of a crossed Demand Draft only. The demand draft should be made in favour of Central University of Gujarat payable at Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad.
