Profile:
Sainik Schools were established by the Sainik School Society in the year 1961. Mr. V. k. Krishna Menon (Defence Minister of India) concieved the schools as a system of schools in the country. There are around 24 such schools present in the country at present. All such schools comes under the Minsitry of Defence. Recently, Finance minister, P. Chidambaram aloocated an amlount of Rs. 2 crore to each such schools.

Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 35 years as on 31 July 2010.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. or B.Ed. is required from a recognized university for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4800
2. Recruitment of Assistant Master (SST):
No. of posts: 2
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 35 years as on 31 July 2010.
Educational Qualification: B.A. with B.Ed. is required from a recognized university for the post.
Pay Scale: Consolidated pay of Rs. 14000 will be given to the selected candidates.
3. Recruitment of Assistant Master (Computer Science):
No. of posts: 1
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 35 years as on 31 July 2010.
Educational Qualification: MCA or equivalent is required from a recognized university for the post.
Pay Scale: Consolidated pay of Rs. 14000 will be given to the selected candidates.
4. Recruitment of Assistant Master (Punjabi):
No. of posts: 1
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set for the post is 35 years as on 31 July 2010.
Educational Qualification: BA with B.Ed. is required from a recognized university for the post.
Pay Scale: Consolidated pay of Rs. 14000 will be given to the selected candidates.
