West Bengal University of Health Sciences was established with the aim of providing an institute to the students which can provide excellent training and research facilities to them. The major fucntion of the institute is to provide instruction, training and research facilities to the students in Modern System of Medicine, Homeopathic System of Medicine, Ayurvedic System of Medicine etc. The university is also responsible for providing undergraduate, postgraduate and post-doctoral courses in the state of West Bengal.

1. Recruitment of Professor (BioChemistry/Medicine/Surgery/Orthopedics/Radiodiagnosis):
No. of posts: Total 6 posts are available.
Eligibility: Candidates should have worked as Associate Professor in any recognized medical college for atleast three years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 9500.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor (BioChemistry/Medicine/Surgery/Orthopedics/Radiodiagnosis):
No. of posts: Total 6 posts are available.
Eligibility: Candidates should have worked as Assistant Professor in any recognized medical college for atleast three years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9000-40500 + Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.

3. Recruitment of Tutor (BioChemistry/Medicine/Surgery/Orthopedics/Radiodiagnosis):
No. of posts: Total 6 posts are available.
Eligibility: Candidates should have attained MBBS degree from any recognized university with atleast 3 years of experience.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9000-40500 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

4. Recruitment of Junior Residents (Medicine/Opthamology/ENT/Surgery/Orthopedics):

Pay Scale: Consolidated pay of Rs. 24360.

5. Recruitment of Senior Residents (Medicine/Opthamology/ENT/Surgery/Orthopedics):

Pay Scale: Consolidated pay of Rs. 19793.

Age Limit: Candidates should not be more than 63 years of age as on 28 February 2010 for applying for the above specified posts.
