IHM Meerut 2011 Hotel Management
Institute of Hoel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Meerut (IHM Meerut) offers admission to those candidates who are interested in undertaking the course of Hotel Management at the undergraduate level. The Institute was established in the year 1987 and has been considered as one of the best hotel management based Institute in our nation. The Institute has been recognized for the excellent infrastructural facilities offered coupled with a highly trained as well as experienced teaching staff. Aspirin individuals who have passed from the Institute are recruited in hotel organization like Oberoi Gropu, Taj Group of Hotels, ITC Welcome Groups, etc.
Candidates are offered final admission in both pot graduates as well as under graduate degree of the course through an entrance test made on written mode held by the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT). The interview is held by the Institute itself. However the candidates who have managed to pass the entrance test are called for an interview.
Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English as a subject. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply.
Also a candidate should not be more than 22 years of age (25 years for SC/ST) as on 1st July, 2011.

The application form for IHM Meerut will be available from the institute and can also be downloaded through IHM’s website www.ihmeerut.com
Important Dates:
Last Date for receipt of application forms: 2nd week of April, 2011
Selection Criteria:
Candidates are first shortlisted on the basis of a written exam conducted by NCHMCT. Shortlisted candidates are called for interview after which final selections are done.
Pattern of NCHMCT:
The paper will be of 3 hours duration consisting of 200 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each divided in the following sections:
Numerical Ability and Scientific Aptitude-30 questions
Reasoning and Logical Deduction-30 questions
General Knowledge & Current Affairs-30 questions
English Language-80 questions
Aptitude for Service Sector-30 questions
There will be negative marking upto 1/2 marks for all the sections except Aptitude for Service Sector.
