Tamil Nadu is synonymous with Engineering and technical education. It is one of the fastest growing states in the country and produces the largest number of engineering graduates in the country. Statistics tell that every 4 out of 5 students pursue a career in any of the branches of engineering.

Scope of Engineering from Tamil Nadu:

Tamil Nadu has the largest number of engineering institutes in the country. Scope of engineering is very good provided students pursue from a top institute. Students can pursue a variety of options like Mechanical, Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Visual Communication, Aeronautics and many more branches. Students find themselves placed in many of the top companies in India and abroad.

Students have to appear for the AIEEE conducted at all India level. Students are ranked accordingly and find themselves placed in the college of their choice.  Students also have to score meritorious marks in their Standard 12th in Tamil Nadu board.  Study Material is available at all the book stores across the country. Special coaching classes are also available all across the country.  Being an all India exam, scores of students appear for the exam and the competition is literally cut throat.

Career Prospects:

Tamil Nadu is the hub of Technical and IT companies in the south. Almost all the MNC’s have their base set in Tamil Nadu. These companies go for annual recruitment drive and select the best of the students. Campus placements are a very big affair in these colleges. Students are offered handsome salaries and good positions.

    Even though we are from Tamil Nadu, my father all along worked in Indian Oil Corporation Ltd at Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka.

    I studied from I to XII standard in Kendriya Vidyalayas of Karnataka state.

    Now I am completing my XII standard at Bangaore NAL Kendriya Vidyalaya in 2011.

    Am I eligible to apply in to Tamil Nadu engineering colleges based on my father’s nativity, even though I have not studied even a single class in Tamil Nadu ?
