Punjab Public Service Commission was resurged in the year 1948 on the month of February and the commission is responsible for conducting recruitment examination for appointment of candidates to various government job positions arising in the state of Punjab.
Recruitment by Punjab Public Service Commission:
Punjab Public Service Commission has called for applications from eligible candidates for the Punjab Civil Service (Judicial Branch) Examination 2011 to be conducted jointly by the High Court of Haryana and Punjab and PPSC for recruitment of candidates for Punjab Civil Service (Judicial Branch). Pay Scale: Candidates will be getting a pay scale of Rs.27700-40450 as might be revised from time to time.
Eligibility Requirement:
Educational Qualification: candidates must be degree holders in the field of law from any university incorporated by law in India or from any of the law universities. Candidates must have studied Punjabi up to matriculation level. Even candidates in the final year of their law course can apply; however, they should complete their course before the 30th of September 2011.

Selection Procedure:
Selection of candidates will be on the basis of Punjab Civil Service Judicial Branch examination, which will be conducted in three stages namely preliminary examination, main examination and viva-voce. The preliminary examination is planned to be conducted on the 13th of November 2011.
Application fee:
Candidates can obtain the application form with detailed instruction for filling up application from the Secretary, PPSC, Baradari Gardens, Patiala either in person on through post from the 19th of September 2011 on payment of application of Rs.25 if paid on the counter and Rs.75 if the application is to be obtained by post, which should be paid through DD drawn in favor of the secretary of the PPSC.
