Uttarakhand was previously called as Uttaranchal and it is a state located in the northern part of the nation. The state is often referred to as the land of Gods since, it is acting as the home for many holy Hindu temples and some of them of pilgrimage in Hinduism.

Higher education in Uttarakhand:

Directorate of Higher Education was established in the state on the month of July in the year 2001. During the period of establishment of the directorate, there were only 34 degree colleges in the state and at present the state has two universities being Garhwal University and Kumaon University for offering general education. The Garhwal University has nearly 67 colleges under its jurisdiction, while the Kumaon University has nearly 39 colleges under its affiliation. In addition, the number of degree colleges is considerably increasing thereby extending the supervisory and administrative control of the directorate of higher education in the state.

Eligibility for admission to BBA course in Uttarakhand:

For getting into the BBA course offered by colleges in Uttarakhand, candidates must have completed their higher secondary preferably from the state of Uttarakhand. However, candidates belonging to other states are also admitted with permission from the university to which the particular institution in which the other–state candidates are seeking admission. Admission is generally done based on the merit secured by the candidates in the qualifying examination.

Higher education after BBA from Uttarakhand:

After completion of BBA course from the state of Uttarakhand, candidates can go for MBA course not only within Uttarakhand, but also from the other states of the nation.
