Hindustan College of Engineering and Technology, Chennai
Hindustan College of Engineering is a UGC recognized college by the UGC Act 1956, and was established in the year 1985. The college is well known and a renowned college located in Chennai city of Tamil Nadu. The college runs with a vision to make every man a success and no man a failure. It is now known as Hindustan Institute of Engineering and Science.
Campus
The institute is spread over a huge area which is lush green, and has various buildings, the departmental buildings and the institutional block consists of modern classroom and well equipped laboratories and workshop. The college library is housed in a separate building with around 1 lakh volumes of books, and periodicals, with a state of art reading room. There is a seminar and a conference hall for official discussions and seminars. And hostel facilities are provided to both boys and girls separately with an accommodation for over 1,000 students, which are well equipped with all modern facilities.

Admission Procedure
The students are selected through their performance in the Tamil Nadu CET and also the AIEEE examinations. For the post graduate courses, a valid GATE score is necessary.
Placements
The college is a renowned one, with various companies’ visiting the campus, and placements upto 90 percent. The companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and many other MNC’s and state based companies visit the camps to recruit students form the college.
